Subversion and Reconstruction:Reflections on the Reasoning in Translation Criticism

本文指出，在解构主义思潮冲击和洗礼之后，译学研究出现了理性缺位和标准迷失，这是不利于其深入发展的。本文肯定了解构主义对认知理性的批判，同时也指出它自身的非理性中存在着难以克服的悖论，要克服这些悖论仍然需要理性。翻译活动作为一种社会行为，必须有相应的标准，但是新的标准不应建立在认知理性基础之上，而是应当建立在交往理性，即一种行为规范基础上。

This paper points out that after the deconstruction movement, translation study lost its reason and criterion, which will hamper its further development. The authors acknowledge the significance of deconstructive criticism of cognitive reason on the one hand,while on the other,they also point out the paradoxes brought forth by its own irrationality. They argue that to overcome these paradoxes, reason is needed and so is the criterion. However, the new criterion of translation won＇t be built on cognitive reason, but as a social action, translation criterion should bebased on communicative reason, and it will become a norm of social behavior.
