The stuffing tecto has no influences on the development of the oak silkworm, Antherae pernyi. Itsbiological effect was to increase in the pupal body weight and cocoon layer ratio. The possible reason is that thereagent enhanced the absorption activity of intestinal wall for nutrients and promoted the activities of someimportant enzyme systems, especially protein synthetase.
