摘要
结合明清小说中的用例,解释了《红楼梦》中"熬煎"一词的不同义项。认为无论是表示"忍耐",还是表示"烧煮"、"烦恼"、"(被)折磨"、"痛苦",都有"折磨"的意味在里面,这个"折磨"多数是心理上的,也可以是生理上的。
Based on the examples of Ming and Qing Dynasties＇ novels,this paper studies the meanings of the Chinese word ＂Aojian＂ in ＂A Dream in the Red Mansions＂.It is found that this word means a number of things such as ＂tolerate＂,＂boil＂,＂cook＂,＂persecute＂,＂pains＂ and ＂torture physically or mentally or both＂.
