Application of Multimedia and Network Technology in Higher Education

本文从目前多媒体与网络技术在高校教学中的实践应用情况出发,选取了华南地区两所高等院校为研究样本,分析其最近几年多媒体与网络技术应用于教学的实践情况,以及存在的问题。最后,针对问题提出相关的建议:树立正确的指导原则,加强对教师的培训等等。

This study aims to analyze the current application of multimedia and network technology in higher education,its development,implementation,advantages and disadvantages,etc.Employing the research methods of questionnaire and interviews,the authors surveyed students and teachers from two universities.The results show there are outstanding issues in using multimedia and network technology in higher education,namely,insufficient use of the advantages of multimedia and network technology closely related to subject matters,lack of appropriate guiding principles in using multimedia and network technology,too much disordered information interfering with students’understanding of the key points,low quality instructional design in the courseware,and lack of attention from the management in using modern educational technology.A series of suggestions and counter measures are put forward.
