摘要
1960年代美国新左派学生运动一直以来都是美国学者颇为关注的一个学术领域。学者们在不同历史时期塑造了学生运动的不同形象,他们对运动的评价毁誉参半,褒贬不一;而学生运动参与者在1980年代中后期也纷纷出版回忆录、传记以及相关的研究性著作,形成了自己对运动的独特认知。他们对于运动的记忆与认知,既是其在政治观念形成时期所受到的美国激进主义思想和主流意识形态影响的产物,也是1970~1980年代美国主流社会思想文化日趋保守的产物;而不同个体的生活经历、政治生涯中的具体境遇,也对他们形成独特的认知产生了重要的影响。
American New Left Student Movement in 1960s has been a hot researching subject since 1960s for American scholars and they have portrayed different images of the student movement. Their assessment varies from praising to scolding, In middle and late 1980s, some participants of the student movment also published their memoirs, biogra- phies and researching books and formed their peculiar perception. Actually, their special memory and perception were greatly influenced by American radical ideas and mainstream ideology in their youth, and were the product of the return of American conservatism in 1970s and 1980s. Their different life experiences and specific sufferings in political careers also had an impact upon their memory and perception.
