The government departments have formulated clear and definite rules and regulations for the disk data destruction in the secret-involved computer,which require physical demagnetization,chemical resolution and burning of the magnetic-media,that the granularity by physical smash of the media must be up to the related standard,and that the secret-involved computer must undergo data destruction before going out.The personal privacy protection gradually becomes the serious challenge under networking environment while the business secret and IP protection the difficult problems,and the disk data leakage occurs frequently.This paper discusses the existing problems in data destruction,the risk of data leakage in removable storage media,explores the hidden danger in magnetic-media data leakage the tools for the recovery of deleted data.Finally,the paper gives the usually-used methods in data destruction.
