Ding Lei （丁磊）, is the CEO and founder of NetEase （网易）, one of the largest websites in China. Born in 1971, Ding earned a bachelor degree from Chengdu College of Electronic Science and Technology in 1993. He started NetEase in 1997 with RMB 500,000 partly borrowed from friends, and within two years had built the company into one of the largest websites in China.
