Development of a WPS Process Chaining Tool

为用标准的方法提供地理处理功能,最近经OGC核准的Web处理服务(WPS)定义了通用的接口。Web服务通常能被组成服务链,用以执行更复杂的任务。本文给出创建WPS过程链工具的一种简单的方法。根据我们的ServiceChain XML模式,仅通过创建一个XML文件,不用接触任何源代码,WPS原子功能就能被集成到更广泛的工作流程中。通过在城市灾害管理应用中的实现,这种方法已得到了验证。我们的方法使任何GIS用户能很容易地提供新的复合过程。

The recently approved OGC Web Processing Service （WPS） defines a generic interface for providing geo-processing functionality in a standardized way.Web Services in general can be composed in service chains for carrying out more complex tasks.This paper presents an approach for creating a tool for chaining WPS processes in a simple way.Atomic functionalities can be integrated into extensive workflows without programming,just by creating a XML file according to our Servicechain XML schema.A proof of concept is given by applying the implementation in the case of disaster management for urban areas.In conclusion the proposed approach makes it easy for any GIS user to provide new composite processes.
