Development of Beijing Tongren Eye Center in the Recent 8 Years

首都医科大学附属北京同仁医院眼科已有一百多年的历史,先后经历了西方眼科引进期,新中国成立后蓬勃发展期,改革开放后腾飞期和21世纪后飞速发展期,从最初的眼科诊所发展为目前国内眼科专科最全的、规模最大的眼科中心,凝练形成了特色学科发展方向,并逐步进入了国际知名眼科中心的行列,在医、教、研、防等方面为中国眼科的发展起到带动和引领作用。

Beijing Tongren Eye Center has a history of more than one hundred years. It has experienced the early years of western ophthalmology introduced into China,flourished period after liberation,fast development period after reform and comprehensive development since the 21st century. It has grown into the biggest eye center with the most complete ophthalmologic subspecialities. Meanwhile,several characteristic scientific research directions have formed in this center and stepped into the range of international well-known eye centers. It has led and driven the development of ophthalmology in China.
