Development of the Department of Cell Biology in Capital Medical University and the Municipal Laboratory for Liver Protection and Regulation of Regeneration

首都医科大学细胞生物学系成立于1995年,是国内较早成立细胞生物学科的医科院校之一。随后十年相继获批成为北京市重点学科和北京市重点实验室。学科及实验室的发展始终坚持走转化医学之路,以细胞分子生物学为切入点,以肝病的基因诊断和治疗为核心开展研究,汇聚基础临床结合这一优势,形成了独具特色的学科发展方向,在科研、教学、人才建设方面都取得了良好的成绩。

Department of Cell Biology in Capital Medical University was founded in 1995 as one of the earliest department in this discipline among medical universities in China. It became the Municipal Key Discipline and Municipal Key Laboratory over the following 10 years. The development of this discipline follows the path of translational medicine,using cellular and molecular biology methods to conduct research on the gene diagnosis and gene therapy for liver diseases. With the advantage of integrating basic medical research and clinical research,it has formed a distinguishing development direction and achieved progress in research,teaching and career development.
