AbstractThe case iron containing 3.0%3.5%Al has a wider modifier addition range for getting vermicular graphite and a lower chilling tendency than the usual cast iron.Inoculation with FeSi alloy can markedly reduce the chilling tendency without apparently increasing the nodular graphite ratio.So it is very suitable for producing the parts with thin thickness.
