This paper analyzes the mathematical model of a resistance heating furnace,showing that a normal controller is unable to reach a high control accuracy.However a model independent fuzzy controller boasts its obvious advantages in the control of the resistance heating furnace with the features of a short time response,high control accuracy and high robustness
