Experimental Investigation of Long Pulse Dye Laser with Flashlamp Pumping

The properties of the long pulse dye laser pumped by flashlamp with cyclooctatertraene and oxygen gas as triplet state quenchers are described. Particular attention is given to the pulse duration and the output energy. Two primary factors, which influence the pulse duration and the output energy, are discussed.
