伴随经济全球化,中心城市在各个地区经济社会发展中的作用日益重要.研究认为,中心城市具有就业、居住、要素集聚、支撑发展和辐射带动五大经济学功能.河南省已经处在城镇化高速推进期,中心城市体系建设面临重要任务:建设郑汴都市区,推动中原城市群健康发展,建设新型城镇体系和特色产业城市、宜居城市.同时,要充分认识到中心城市在区域发展中的战略意义,建设郑汴都市区是河南省中心城市体系建设的突破口,河南省中心城市体系建设要走新型城镇化道路.

With the economic globalization,central cities play an increasingly important role in economic and social development of various areas. Studies suggest that central cities have five economic functions such as employment,residence,factor-gathering,development supporting,radiating and exemplifying. Henan province has already been in rapid advance of urbanization,central city system construction faces important tasks：building urban area of Zhengzhou and Kaifeng,promoting the healthy development of central China city group, constructing new urban system,feature cities,and livable cities. And fully understand the strategic significance of regional development in central city,and the construction of Zhengzhou and Kaifeng city area is a breakthrough in Henan central city system construction which will take the road of new-style urbanization.
