话语标记语是一种十分常见的话语现象,是说话者为实现成功言语交际所采用的重要手段之一。话语标记语well具有多种语用功能:可用作话语起始标记、话语分割标记、话语延缓标记、话语劝诫标记、信息短缺标记、信息修正标记、威胁缓和标记和加强语气。在所有这些用法中,它所起的作用只不过是一种"标记"功能,不构成话语的基本语义或命题意义,但却具有丰富的语用效应,在话语理解中可以引导听话人如何去处理后续话语。

Discourse marker is a very common phenomenon of discourse,and is one of the means used by the speaker to achieve the success of verbal communication.Discourse marker ＂ well＂ is with a variety of pragmatic functions：it can be used as initial discourse marker,discourse segmentation markers,discourse markers delay,exhort discourse marker,marking the shortage of information,information correction mark,easing the threat and strengthening the voice tag.In all of these usages,its role is only a ＂ tag＂ feature,and it does not constitute a discourse of basic semantic meaning or proposition,but it has a rich pragmatic effect,to guide the listeners to understand the follow-up discourse.
