Normality and violation——The cognitive mechanism of humor

幽默作为一种语言的巧智,理论上对此曾经有过不同的解释,而现代语言学,尤其是认知语用学对此的分析可以达到深刻的效果,威奇的常规与背离理论便是其中之一。但是该理论对所提出的"常规性"N和"背离性"V的解述过于主观化,缺少实际操作性。因此,以常规与背离理论为框架,结合认知语言学的原型关联理论对N和V进行条件界定;结合笑的心理过程和幽默的美学原理来挖掘幽默的内在心理机制;运用所提出的常规与背离理论的修正理论进行了例证分析。

Humor,as a wit of speech,has been ever explained in many different ways.But the modern linguistic theories especially those of cognitive pragmatics provide profound explanations for it.One of those theories is the N-V theory proposed by Veatch.However,the explanations for normality and violation in this theory are too subjective to be applied in analysis.Therefore,taking normality and violation theory as framework,combining the prototype relevance theory restricts the conditions of normality and violation;combining the mental process of laughter and aesthetic theories on humor explores the inner mental mechanism of humor;makes the example analysis with the modified theory of normality and violation.
