Jiang Jieshi and the Unification of Sichuan Administration

1934年底和1935年初,在四川和南京国民政府之间发生了一连串重大事件,即四川军政领袖刘湘初次出川、晋京,军事委员会委员长行营参谋团入川,四川新省府成立和蒋介石首度入川。这几件大事的直接影响就是四川终于打破防区制,实现了川政统一,更深远的影响则是南京国民政府终于能基本掌控川局,奠定了四川作为民族复兴根据地的基础。

A series of important events occur during the end of 1934 and the beginning of 1935 between Sichuan Government and the National Government in Nanjing,when Liu Xiang,the military and political leader of Sichuan,leaves Sichuan and visits the Capital City of Nanjing for the first time,the staff corps of the military committee chair enters to Sichuan,the new Sichuan provincial government establishes and Jiang Jieshi visits Sichuan for the first time,which direct impact is the breaking-up of the local-defence system in Sichuan and the realization of Sichuan provincial administration unification,while which far-reaching influence is the basic-control of Sichuan on the part of the National Government and the foundation establishment of Sichuan as the base for the national rejuvenation.
