摘要
《宝格丽关系》是英国当代女作家费·维尔登一部颇有争议的小说,被认为是当代英国文学界第一例由商业公司委托文学作家来完成的作品。本文应用西方马克思主义文艺理论家瓦尔特·本雅明的艺术生产论从创作生产目的、欣赏消费环境以及创作生产技巧三方面对其进行了文本分析与探讨,旨在让读者从一个崭新的视角来重新审视这部21世纪英国畅销小说,而不是一味地对其加以简单批判。
The Bulgari Connection is a controversial novel written by Fay Weldon, a contemporary British female writer. This book is believed to be the first instance of a literary author being directly commissioned by a commercial company to write a novel. Based on the Theory of Art Production created by Walter Benjamin, the western Marxist literary critic, this essay aims to analyze the bestseller The Bulgari Connection from the following three aspects: text production purpose, text production and consumption, and text writing skills, attempting to demonstrate the postmedemist fea- tures in the novel in detail.
