《望大陆》三种英译文初探——兼谈词性转换和意义陈述的运用

A Translation Review on The Poem Overlooking My Chinese Mainland

汉诗英译有时必须放弃追求形式对等的努力,必须透及深层,把握意义陈述的意念机制,而不是形式机制。这符合奈达最初提出的信息对等,而不是形式对应的翻译概念。本文列举并分析了于右任诗作《望大陆》的三种英译,并强调应该向笔者所提供的试译那样,运用好词性转换和意义陈述的翻译策略。

Meaning representation, rather than form correspondence, should be stressed in translating Chinese poems into English. This practice corresponds with Nida.6 the translation concept for information equivalence instead of form correspondence. This article, by analyzing three translations on Mr. Yu Youren＇s poem Overlooking My Chinese Mainland, promotes the translation techniques such as conversing and meaning representation used by the author in his own translation of the same poem mentioned herein.
