Thought on Zhou Zuoren’s Anthroposophy

周作人从生物学的角度切入,对人的动物性以及由此而派生出来的个性进行研究和探索,为正确认识人的观念提供了理论基础,在新文化运动中具有重要的价值和意义。但是,他站在个人主义的视点上,试图模糊和消解国家、民族、阶级等观念以及为调整这些社会关系而产生的各种规范、准则和价值观,这是极端错误的。他留给后人的教训和思索是异常深刻的。

On the base of biology,Zhou Zuoren makes studies on human’s animal nature and its derived human character,which lays sound foundation for understanding human,and it is of importance and of meaning in May Fourth Movement.However,he attempts to blur or remove the concept of nation,race and class as well as rules,norms and values produced by the regulation of these social relationships according to individualism,which is a great fault and the lessons he leaves for the later generation is profound too.
