The intelligent water level monitoring system is introduced. The system is composed of the single chip computer as the kernel and the capacitance transducer as the sensitive element. The variation of the water level of the top covered generator is detected by the system thus the electric drain pump will be started or stopped automatically to protect the generator in normal operation.
