摘要
转喻和隐喻机制共同作用于名词动用现象,两者相互作用构成连续体关系。这里讨论了转喻—隐喻连续体的基本类型,认为连续体作用于名词动用主要体现为来自转喻的隐喻和隐喻内的转喻两种类型,并且宏观上对该现象在构词与修辞、搭配特征、词汇来源、区别性特征等四个方面产生影响,使之有别于省略等现象。
Metonymy and metaphor, which form a continuum, are considered as two interacting mechanisms working on denominal verbs. This paper has analysed the types of their interactions in modern English and Chinese denominal verbs, and has discussed their impacts on the characteristics of denominal verbs. Such impacts are globally reflected in four aspects：（1）word formation vs. rhetoric;（2）collocation;（3）lexical resources;（4）denominal verb vs. ellipsis.
