On the Influences of Taoism and Zen upon American Modern Poems

道禅思想或直接性地、或间接性地以中国古典诗歌为桥梁影响和推动了美国诗歌的改变。道家"无为"思想拓宽了美国诗歌题材;道禅"得意忘言"的诗学理念促进了美国诗歌语言、技巧的变革;道禅和谐美的内涵则为美国诗歌提供了全新的物我观。从而使美国诗歌更为多元化。

Taoism and Zen,through Chinese classical poems directly or indirectly,has made great influences on American modern poems.Firstly,the idea of ＂doing nothing＂ has provided new thoughts to American modern poets.Secondly,＂get the meaning,forget the words＂,one of Taoism and Zen poetry,has promoted the American modern poets to change their wrting techniques and even the struture of lines.Thirdly,the context of harmony of Taoism and Zen has showed American modern poets a new relationship between the object and the subject in the poem.
