摘要
柳是中国文学中反复出现的一个原型意象,其审美文化意蕴在唐代有一个由美向丑的转变,即由魏晋南北朝时期品性高洁的隐者形象转向唐代轻狂卑劣之人格象征,由唐初拓展出的美貌女子渐渐转向青楼女子。其转变的原因有:唐代社会政治思想的开放与商业文化的繁荣;唐代乐舞《杨柳枝》的盛行;柳意象审美意蕴的老化,陈陈相因;科举取士制度与党派之争;青楼女子以柳自比。
