摘要
本文选择加州大学伯克利分校为案例,以教育质量自我保障机制透视现代大学制度。伯克利的教育质量自我保障集中而具体地体现为学校定期开展的各项院校自评工作,根据其目的不同,可以分为面向社会问责的学校自评、面向认证的学校和院系自评以及面向自我改进的系所/专业自评三类。通过详述各类自评工作的指标体系、流程、主导力量等,分析其中的权力模式,进而总结出现代大学制度的两个基本特征:优先大学自治与平衡社会责任;学术自治基础上的科学管理。
This study analyzes the modern university system from the educational quality self-protection Mechanisms based on the case of university of California,Berkeley.In the University of California,Berkeley,self-protection mechanisms mainly refer to the schools' and programs' self-assessment,which includes three categories.They are the university's self-assessment for social accountability,the school or college's self-assessment for accreditation,and the program's self-assessment for self-improvements.Base on the analysis of all kinds of self-assessments,the article summarizes two basic characters of modern university system: prioritizing the university autonomy and balancing social accountability;scientific management based on academic autonomy.
