The laser technology in space application is summarized.With the application fields and the mission′s aims as index,some foreign space laser systems and their missions are illustrated.Also introduced are some plans and projects which are under research and developing.The aim of the paper is to provide information to manifest：for what space tasks the laser can be induced and utilized;to what degree the laser in the field has been developed.
