Rhetoric plays a vital role in English speech.The proper application of various means of rhetoric can not only make audiences enjoy the charm of English speech language,but also serve speakers’ purpose of persuasion.This paper intends to analyze the rhetorical features of English speech from the aspects of phonetic,vocabulary and sentence structure.It is also emphasized in this paper that speakers should focus on the aesthetic value of speech language.
