归化与异化在哈萨克谚语翻译中的运用

On Foreignization and Domestication in Translating Kazakh Proverbs

归化和异化,并非固定不变的翻译模式或翻译策略。它们与文化、意识形态、文本性质、目标读者息息相关。以文化交流为目的的翻译,应有机地将归化和异化结合在一起,以异化保持原文的文化意蕴,以归化准确再现文本意义。本文以哈萨克谚语翻译问题为例,试析归化与异化原则的运用。

Foreignization and domestication are not fixed translation modes or techniques.They are closely re-lated to culture,ideology,text,and target readers.Translation aiming at cultural exchange,should engage both principles into the work by foreignizing certain vocabularies to restore the exotic cultural significance,and do-mesticating alien text into fluent expression.This paper gives a brief analysis of the Kazakh proverb translation in order to discuss foreignization and domestication in translation.
