Modeling and Color in Seurat's Painting

修拉在美术史上有很大的贡献,但是在一直追求以感性的生动画面效果为价值取向的体系中,修拉的绘画显得有些呆板和理性,很难被理解和产生共鸣,这是修拉不被我们接受的主要原因。感性和理性同样重要,没有理性支撑的感性也是不可靠的,研究修拉的绘画,有助于了解具象绘画发展到抽象绘画过程中的前期状态,启发对绘画中理性和感性的关系进行思考。

Seurat has made great contributions to the art history.But his paintings seemed to be somewhat stiff and rational in the system which is pursued by us with the perceptual vivid images effect for the value orientation.So the paintings are hard to take.And it＇s the main reason for Seurat＇s non-acceptance.Sensibility and rationality is equally important.Sensibility is unreliable without the support of rationality.The study of Seurat＇s paintings can help us understand the pre-condition of the process from concrete painting to Abstract painting,and it can also inspire our thinking about the relationship of sensibility and rationality in painting.
