In a bulk carrier＇s design, the primary power system plan requires sending the power parameters of generator on main switchboard side and main bus to the ECC and it is necessary to transmit ASCII and RTU Encoding messages on MODBUS communication network. As the MODBUS network can only use a transfer mode, this article discusses how to transmit two encoding messages such as ASCII and RTU on the same MODBUS transmission network.
