The thesis intends to find out the reasons of declining of Nantong Blue Printed Cloth through exploring its inheritance, protection and the development. What is more, the author proposes the strategies of protection and promotion of Nantong Blue Printed Cloth. By analyzing its cultural attributes, the core value of Nantong Blue Printed Cloth comes out and two cultural attributes are pointed out： the attribute of the intangible cultral heritage; the attribute of the traditional cultural ecology, which indicates that the innovation of design is the key to promotion of Nantong Blue Printed Cloth.
