构建汉译西方文学经典体系 统一汉译经典名称

On the Construction of the System of Canons Translated into Chinese with Unified Titles

由于没有高瞻远瞩及详备统一的规划和组织协调,对西方经典汉译名称的一致性在学术研究方面的重要性认识不足,缺乏全盘观念,译者各自为阵,造成了汉译西方经典目录上的空白、断层和错层,同一作品的汉译名称差异颇大。这些对经典翻译和外国文学研究十分不利。有必要设立有效机制,构建汉译外国文学经典体系,统一汉译经典名称,完善外国文学经典翻译和研究的学术规范,以促进经典翻译和外国文学研究的健康发展。

Due to the nonexistence of a far-sighted and well-balanced guiding program and the Absence of organizing coordination,and unawareness of the importance of unified titles of those translated works to researches,individual translating undertakings result in some conspicuous vacuities,displacements and faultage on the list of Western cannons translated into Chinese.It is not uncommon that a translated work appears in a couple of different Chinese titles.These pose some embarrassing hindrances to proper conducts of translation and study of Western cannons.Therefore,it is urgent that a mechanism be constructed and specifications made so as to fill in the gap and have the titles of works which were,are and will be translated into Chinese unified for better and healthy studies of foreign canons in the long run.
