It is a successful experience to combine the target management and process management in scientific management of the 300 000 t deepwater channel of Lianyungang Port . This paper introduces the general situation of the 300 000 t deepwater channel project of Lianyungang Port, analyses the contents and problems in the target management and process management. Also it introduces the detailed method of combining the target management and process management in the scientific management of 300 000 t deepwater channel project and achievement obtained. It put forward several suggestions for promoting the scientific management of large communication projects .
