Water Resource In the Great Yarluzangbu Canyon

雅鲁藏布江是西藏最大的河流,又是世界上海拔最高的大河。它发源于有'世界屋脊'之称的青藏高原,即西藏的西南部、喜马拉雅山脉北麓的杰马央宗冰川,流经2065.5公里后,在西藏的巴昔卡附近流入印度,在印度改称为布拉马普特拉河。布拉马普特拉河又流经孟加拉国,并又改称贾木纳河,在戈阿隆多市附近与恒河相汇,最后注入印度洋。

Rich data and scientific material about the Canyon,including its riverbed feature,hydrological characteristic and waterfall group,were provided by the new expedition in 1998.Some achievements have been reached for rational developing and protecting water resources.
