The three major multinational oil companies, Standard-Vacuum Oil Company, Asiatic Petroleum Company and Texas Co. china, Ltd. , played a major role in China oil market. The three companies not only used its existing strengths and political influence of the home country to safeguard the interests of the three companies, but also controlled China's crude oil and refined oil imports, and limited the advancement of China's oil industry. The company's activities were a reflection of the adjustment of the foreign economic forces after the collapse of the treaty system in modern China.
