The paper formulates the components and technical characteristics of the cross-dipole array acoustic logging tool introduced from Halliburton by Western Drilling and Logging Company.Practical application shows that the tool has good consistency,repetitiveness and stability.All kinds of technical parameters can meet the requiremels of the oilfield. Well logging interpretation corresponds the quality control standards.
