Points out tall steel building has been used widely nowadays, and the conceptual design runs through the whole process of design. According to analysis of earthquake damages, some conceptual design methods related to the overall program and layout as well as structure control are presented, so as to accumulate experience of the research on the high-rise building steel structures concept design.
