Exploring a New Vision for Communists Serving as Officials

"人品即官品,做官即为民",是一个非常重要的科学命题,也是共产党人为官理念的最根本的价值取向。认真研究和探讨这一科学命题,开辟共产党人为官理念的新视野,对于当前贯彻落实党的十七大精神,加强干部队伍建设,树立正确的科学的为官理念,提高干部思想道德水平和执政能力,促进社会主义和谐社会建设,有着十分重要的意义。

＂The virtues required of a person are the quality of an official; being an official is serving the people＂ — this is both a scientific proposition of great importance and a fundamental moral orientation of a Communist official. It is also of great significance to research this proposition and to explore a new vision for Communists as officials, so as to implement the principles of the 17th National People’s Congress, strengthen the construction of the an officials’ team, build up correct and scientific concepts as an officials, improve their virtues and governing capability, as well as foster the construction of a harmonious socialist society.
