十一届三中全会以后,以邓小平为代表的中国共产党人,在社会主义处于低潮、马克思主义受到挑战的国际大背景下,领导中国走上具有中国特色的社会主义发展道路,在新的国情和实践基础上,把马克思主义推向前进。中国特色社会主义理论体系是对马列主义、毛泽东思想的继承和发展,其基本理论特征是:坚持马克思主义实事求是精髓论,坚持与时俱进,坚持马克思主义的开放性,坚持以人为本,实现了革命逻辑向建设逻辑的转换,在新的实践基础上对马克思主义作出了突破性发展。

After the Third Session of Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, Communist Party members represented by Deng Xiao-ping led China to the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics and pushed Marxism forward according to the new national conditions and practice when socialism was in the hard times and Marxism was challenged. Theoretical system of Chinese socialism with Chinese characteristics is the continuation and evolution of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Ze-dong Thought. The theory is characterized by adhering to the essence of seeking truth from facts, advancing with the times, the openness of Marxism and people-centered.
