A Brief Study on Ten Collections of Classical Chinese Short Stories in the Late Qing Dynasty in Jiangsu Province

晚清光绪间,江苏出现了不下二十部志怪传奇小说集,其中程畹《潜庵漫笔》《惊喜集》、夏昌祺《雪窗新语》、陈彝《谈异》、薛福成《庸庵笔记》、泖滨野客《野客谰语》、鸥乡老人《老人梦语》、南沙怀北山人《坐花精舍笔记》、须方岳《聊摄丛谈》、淮阴百一居士《壶天录》是比较突出的十部,代表当时江苏文言小说创作的成就。

There were various collections of classical Chinese short stories in the Guangxu Period of Late Qing Dynasty in Jiangsu province.This paper discusses 10 prominent ones of these collections,which represent the achievement of short story creation in Jiangsu of that time.
