一项基于校内英语综合实践基地的实证研究

An Experimental Research Based on a Comprehensive Campus English Practice Base

针对如今大学英语教学的诸多问题和学生缺乏英语交际能力和运用能力等弱点,该文以学校外语实践中心为基地,运用对比实验、跟踪观察、问卷调查等多种科学方法,开展了一项实证研究,探讨校内英语综合实践基地对促进大学英语教学和提高学生英语综合实践能力的影响。结果显示,校内英语综合实践基地对提高大学生的英语考试成绩、口语水平、英语学习兴趣以及交流的自信心均具有促进作用,说明校内英语综合实践基地不但有必要而且值得推广。

In view of the problems of present college English teaching and students’ lack of communicative and pragmatic competence,taking the University’s Foreign Language Practice Center as a base,we have recently carried out a research by employing such approaches as experiments,observation and questionnaires.The research is aimed at exploring the impact of the comprehensive campus-based English practice center on improving college English teaching and students’ communicative and pragmatic competence.The research results reveal a positive relationship between the practice center and the improvement of oral proficiency,learning interest,confidence as well as English exam results.Therefore,it is necessary and worthwhile to establish and promote this kind of comprehensive English practice base.
