摘要
近海海洋环境对国家的社会经济发展和环境安全十分重要,完善的近海海洋观测、研究与服务系统,是发展海洋经济和建设海洋强国的重要支撑条件。文章介绍了美国Rutgers大学的近海海洋观测实验室(COOL)的建设及运行情况,重点介绍了其技术特色、开展的海洋科学研究、提供的信息产品与服务以及承担的教育功能,并据此对我国海洋观测系统的建设提出几点粗浅的看法。
Integrated marine observation and marine research efforts are essential for development of marine economics and enhancement of marine safety. The evolution and operation of RU COOL （Coastal Ocean Observation Lab） in US is briefly introduced first, with emphasis on the lab＇s technology, research activity, information products and service, education performance, etc. Finally, a suggestion is made for our future marine observatory＇s construction and optimization.
