摘要
《小城畸人》是舍伍德.安德森的代表作。作者通过对俄亥俄州温士堡镇上各色畸人思想感情和行为的描写,刻画出人们不满现实,追求个人自由的生活状态。他们的生活与精神状态能从萨特关于"世界是荒诞的"、"人是自由的"、"人要行动"等存在主义观点中得到解释。运用萨特的这三个命题对作品内涵进行了解读。
Winesburg,Ohio is the masterpiece of Sherwood Andersoon.The characters are described as grotesques who were not satisfied with their lifestyle and pursued the freedom of their own.The state of these grotesques is perfectly in harmony with Sartre＇s Philosophy of Existentialism——＂the absurdity of the world＂,＂freedom of men＂ and ＂philosophy of action＂.This essay interprets Winesburg,Ohio from these perspectives of Existentialism.
