摘要
随着经济全球化的发展,各种商品在不同国家之间的流通越来越频繁。这就要求产品说明书在不同语言间的转换,即翻译。产品说明书是生产厂家为消费者提供的一种书面形式的服务。因此,它的阅读对象就是广大消费者。为了迎合不同阶层、不同年龄段的消费者的口味,其语言的使用就必须十分讲究。这样才能使广大消费者看得懂,才能更合理地使用该产品。同时,一个好的产品说明书也在无形中为该产品做了广告宣传。文章就此展开讨论,首先介绍有关产品说明书的定义和分类,在文章主体部分着重分析产品说明书的文字特点和句法特点,最后得出结论,为产品说明书的翻译提出一些建议。
With the development of the globalization, frequency has been increased in the various products among countries around the world. So has the requirement for translating the operating manuals. Operating manual is used as the introduction to production and handling instruction. It is a service in writing form supplied by the manufactories. Therefore, in order to meet the demands from the customers among various social status and ages, its language must be employed carefully. By so, the customers can understand what it says and how to appropriately use it. At the same time, a well-written operating manual can advertise itself virtually. In this paper, the first part serves as an introduction to the definition and classification of operating manual. The text and syntax features of operating manual are focused in the body part. Some suggestions for translating the operating manuals are raised in the conclusion part.
