The Exploration into the Intellects' Multi-psychology in Guan Hanqing's Zaju Dan Dao Hui

关汉卿的杂剧《单刀会》将史书中鲁肃从容英武的某些表现挪写在关公身上,但并没有将鲁肃写成一个反面人物,相反,在作品中,关公、鲁肃,以及乔公、司马徽等,共同构成了元初特定社会背景下的士人复杂心理。作者在这一层面的努力,更甚于复原历史故事本身。

Guan Hanqing＇s Zaju Dan Dao Hui has transferred some of Lu Su＇s calm and gallant behaviors in historical records to Guan Gong,however,Lu Su hasn＇t been portrayed as a wicked character.In the drama,the characters such as Guan Gong,Lu Su,Qiao Gong and Sima Hui go to make up the complicated psychology of the intellects against the background of the early Yuan Dynasty.The author has put more efforts into it than the story itself.
