《阿凡达》在其商业运作的框架内成功地再现出,在人类历史与现实中,征服自然与征服弱势民族具有相同的强盗逻辑和帝国性质,因此这是一个典型的反生态帝国主义的电影文本。该故事是对资本主义逻辑上升至帝国性之后,在时间上延伸至当代,在空间上延伸至外太空的揭露。阿凡达的形象也许为人类文明走出生态帝国主义的倨傲和文明的困境提供了一种建设性的可能:既是自然与人的使者,也是资本/帝国主义的终结者。
Avatar,for all its framework of commercial operation,successfully represents the truth that conquering the nature has the same logic and imperial hegemony with conquering other vulnerable nations.So it is a typical film text against imperialism.The story is the disclosure of capitalistic logic when it is updated to imperialism,from the past to the present,from the earth to the outer space.The image of Avatar probably helps to track down the possible alternatives for human civilization to overcome the eco-imperialism's hauteur and get out of the civilization plight,for it serves as not only an emissary between the nature and the mankind,but also the terminator of capitalism/imperialism.
