摘要
委婉语是汉、英语言中共有的现象,它不仅是一种社会语言现象,也是一种文化现象。在很多领域,人们广泛地使用着委婉语,它在交际中起着很重要的作用。
The euphemism is a common phenomenon both in English and Chinese.It exists not only in social language,but also in culture.Moreover,it plays a very important part in communication.People widely use them in many fields.The author compared and analysed the euphemisms in English and Chinese,then expounded their similarities and diversities.
