The applied scope, submission levels and process requirements of PPAP （Production Part Approval Process） , one of 5 major quality tools, which can prove the manufacturing capacity of the component factory and the customer satisfaction, was introduced in the article. PPAP provided reference for implementing TS16949 automotive quality management system. In fact, it is effective to adopt TS16949 automotive quality management system in the global automotive industries.
