The paper points out the disadvantages of modern distance learning, and then introduces the concept of Web mining, classification and methods. It focuses on Web log mining process and methods,also puts forward a frequent path traversal algorithm. Finally for the disadvantages of distance education, It discusses how to apply the Web log mining technology in distance learning platform to realize individualized teaching.
