摘要
英语教学在我国受到越来越多的重视,很多语言学家和教育工作者为选取适合我国国情的英语教学模式进行了诸多探讨,ESL和EFL成了主要研究课题。就其本质来说,ESL和EFL是两种截然不同的英语教学模式。
In China,increasing importance has been attached to the undertaking of English teaching.A great number of linguists and language educators alike have carried out many researches in this regard with a view to selecting appropriate English teaching models that cater to China's actual conditions,among which researches on ESL and EFL have become the central focus.However,ESL and EFL,in essence,have considerable differences in the models of English teaching.This paper mainly discusses and analyzes ESL and EFL from the perspectives of diversity of definitions,diversity of language environments,diversity of teaching materials,and diversity of learning purposes in order to obtain the inspiration of English teaching in China.
